Hi I wonder if someone can help me?? I have a bit of a problem with my 1996 se toledo it keeps blowing the fuse to radio, dash clock, central locking and interior lights so i disconnected all the above and it still does it so just out of interest i was making sure everything worked ok including electric windows and when i pressed the button to do the window up i noticed that the power came back to everything untill i let the button go and it all goes off again so i changed the complete fuseboard thinking that would solve the problem and NO IT BLOODY DIDNT. I then changed the switches round for windows still the same problem, so i took off passenger and drivers door cards and disconnected the window motor which didnt help either. I have noticed that when i hold the passenger window button up and put the fuse in it doesnt blow but as soon as i let the button go it blows the fuse. Has anyone got any ideas whats wrong cos i`m damned if i know. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

Thats really quite messed up. To hedge a (very) rough guess, there's some dodgy wiring there and somethings shorting out (stating the obvious slightly). The only thing I can recommend is check it all thoroughly with a continuity tester / multimeter.

If you live anywhere near Birmingham I don't mind helping you resolve the problem one weekend..
