Sorry to hear that mate... I see your in Manchester. If you need a help with anything give me a shout :)

Cool im happy to help, its not im in capable but its lack of money thats caused it, i can only remeber how and engine goes in for so long, could probably do it after a year, but it takes longer as you have to work things out andd where you put things, and stress levels hit the roof.

Unlucky mate!! sounds like you bought a real lemon there. my LCR is the same year as yours ive had it for a couple of years now and its never given me a days hassle i would say its the best car ive owned so far.

I test drove a megane R26 when they first come out. It was awsome!!!! i really wanted one but it was out of my budget at the time. I wish ide waited a year and could of bought one. Go for the renault you wont be let down!!!

Sorry to hear that LCR was such a pile of crap!!

Had renault before, renault sports are for me the ultimate hot hatch as standard. And Dobly dropped 2 vavles, so new pistons & head then dropp2s 2 in another cylinder timing was bang on and everytihng was tripple checked. Somtihng internal has gone wrong, head was a bit tapety so could be weak oil pump, vvt unit starved of oil? theres also a hole in the crank on piston 4. Which was the only piston i never changed as it was fine.

just goes to show turbo cars need to be respected i.e warmed up and cooled down, and it seems this pakistani lad didnt have a clue...

generally these cars are very reliable, but as with any car they have little faults which eventually you stop taking notice of..i.e water in passenger footwell, rattles etc...

I would be so jellous if you got a R26 in liquid yellow. One of my biggest regrets!!!!:D

If i was going all out would be a lunar grey R26.R with red wheels :) But 18k is steep for a car in my position :/

To be honest with trouble and money gone through you got to know when to call it a day, its nearly 5 years old with 70k on which is a shame as it seemed a nice motor tbh, i enjoyed all of 4 days driving it, but cant comit to the car anymore its taking up too much time and its going nowhere.
