Engine bay question?

Just wondering if there is any covers that u can get for the main engine block (circled below) or is the best way just to get it painted?

Dont mean like the standard engine cover i mean the rocker cover?
Also has any one polished up the engine parts themselves?

that looks weel nice m8 prbrbly would cos a fair few bob to get that done proffesionally, would give it a go myself if i knew what materials i would need and how to go about it

A couple of the lads on here have used heat resistant paint, one did black and the other grey, looked pretty wicked.

Is that the paint u can get from halfords? Do u know if its easy or not to take of the rocker cover?

easy to take off the rocker cover, have to remove the charge pipe too though to get the 4th coilpack out, have a look, all self explanitory when you look at it!

Seems strange someone's gone to trouble to polish the engine but everything else looks standard...apart from TIP

Looking good ian, what your next plan for the motor?? Or possibly time to change car? I keep toying with the idea of TT or S3 in near future going to try and keep it VAG.

not gonna change it for a few years yet. loving it too much

no more plans as such, little things like front arb and some more tidying up of the engine bay

Mine is painted with a textured matt black paint ( non high temp ) and its never budged, even on new BT setup.
