Engine codes

Hi folks,

According to this information on wikipedia, Cupra 2.0 TSI (177kw) engine from 2006 to present should be BWJ.

My documentation says (177Kw, 241 PS version):

Engine type: Audi
Code: CDL

Any comments?

Your cupra will have the 2.0litre 16v TFSI 240hp BWJ engine. What other info are you after.

I have just checked in ETKA.

It seems that BWJ was produced from 11/2006 - 5/2009
CDL from 9/2009 - present

Don't why they did change engine code.

The facelift leon has a slightly more revised version of the
same engine and they have given the updated engine a new code.
