engine management light has came on - misfire

hi i have recently bought a ibiza cura and the engine management light has came on, i took it to a garage for a diag test and it came up with a misfire on the number 2 cylinder, now this is where I'm stuck. its not misfiring i don't know a great deal about engines but the garage said they tried swapping the coils around and still coming up with a fault on the number 2 that wont clear? and it seems to be running fine? new coil packs on it and new spark plugs? can anyone help as i am stuck on this one? any ideas or suggestions would be great. thanks very much

missfireis normaly coilpack or spark plug...try running the engine and unpluging each coilpack one at a time which ever one doesnt make the engine run rough when unpluged is the duff one...but if they swaped the coilpacks already then id say sparkplugs...

I can't believe they would try swapping the coilpacks and if they didn't work the spark plugs... For the extra time it would take!

I would just give her a service and a fresh new set of spark plugs.

yer i would say the same mate they should have serivced it be you got it... my engine light has came on now and it only boosting a 5psi instead of 15psi? any ideas?

Would need vag com on it. Check boost pipes/vacuum pipes.
