hello peeps, last week my engine management light came on, my brother in law who's an auto electrician got it checked over with vag com and said the only thing that came up was a coolant system problem and mentioned something about the bov. i told him that i had a bailey dump valve but that had been on for ages, he checked for any coolant hoses being loose and told me that the temperature was normal so he reset the light and told me to keep an eye on things and come back if it came on again. its just come back again but he's on holiday till next week now. boo hoo. the car starts up fine and still exelarates the same although i've been taking it easy, but after about fifteen minutes in the morning i stop at a shop for my paper and after i get back in it starts up no problem but when i go to pull away it starts to cut out and stall. it starts up again but not as easy as it normally does after this and i've got to keep the revs up for a couple of seconds till i'm up to speed. just posting in case its something like a coilpack or something that a few folk have had.
