Epc light intermittent fault (help needed)

Hi I'm new here so go easy on me
I have a ibiza cupra that has this intermittent fault. The epc and eml light keep coming on and then going straight out whenever I use my wipers or go over too many bumps when I'm driving causing the engine to cut out? It's absolutely doing my head in and I'm hoping someone on here may know a little more than me and point me in the right direction to what it might be.

Hey. I'm pretty sure this will be a loose earth strap. Try tightening the one behind the battery, the one above the wiper motor and the one above the ECU. The ECU one is a harness that bolts at the top and connects to the bottom of the ECU tray.

Give them a spray with some electrical cleaner while you're at it -make sure ignition off!

Finally, make sure ECU is dry and not sitting in a puddle. Good opportunity to clear the drainage channel next to ECU while you're in there.

Hey arkaig, after reading through your advice I've managed to find that the earth cable above the ecu didn't have a nut on it! I've now replaced that and been for a test drive and all seems good thanks for your help, this problem has been bugging me for a while now!
