EPC light staying on

The epc light comes on and stays on, it is not the brakes as the brake lights are coming on and off. I had some work on the clutch recently and it happened after that - does anyone know what it is? I mean, it is most likely clutch related, but what, exactly?

Does it come on and stay on after you press the brakes? It could just be the brake switch that's needing replaced.

It comes on when I start the car and pressing the brake pedal doesn't change anything.

EPC is the "electronic pedal control" and is related to the drive-by-wire throttle not the clutch. If they disconnected the throttle body during the clutch change then it probably needs reseting using Vagcom/VCDS. Either that or you have some sort of other fault with the throttle which should throw up a fault code when scanned with vagcom too.
