Same here. Does anyone know if replacement dog bone mount/bushes help with this at all?

In my opinion the dogbone has reduced wheel hop / spin and the amount of flashing the ESP light does on the dash.

I would agree with that - its a worth while mod anyway.

It's replaces the existing trasmisson mount, it's supposed to stop the engine rocking as much I think? Someone correct me if I am wrong.

It's around £90 inc vat and del, I just orded one.

Simply a new rear engine mount which has stiffer bushes in it which stops the engine from moving as much as it does standard.

If and when i get a new Leon should i order it with Esp or not .Is it worth the money or is it a waste of time,

Lots of people here are commenting on the LCR but your question related to the LC (or FR), not sure how many have driven a lot of miles in the LC.

I did above 30k miles in my old LC 20VT, and the one time I needed ESP I didn't have it, braking whilst changing direction (school boy error) on a wet motorway and span the car. Ended up with a written off car, lucky not to have been injured looking back.

It's one of those things you'll never need, till you need it. Or you may never need it. Or maybe your driving skills are really good.

You could try getting a demonstrator with ESP and taking to a trading estate and have a little play

I had ESP on my LC and did 83k miles in it, TBH I could have managed without. If you have a chipped LC then it might be helpful sometimes.

Agreed! Having once put a perfectly good Lexus IS that I wish had come with ESP (just had TCS) into a rather solid brick wall I am now very glad that both my Altea and the S40 that's replaced said Lexus have ESP. Its the way cars are going - but I do like it and it lets you chuck the Altea around far more than you would dare without it! On the LCR front I think I read somewhere recently that the early ones (maybe 210's, dunno) had ESP you could totally disable whilst the current ones have ESP that can never be totally removed from the equation, as with all other current VAG products. I heard an Audi specialist (not main dealer) bloke telling some enthusiasts a while ago that for most use ESP is better than Quattro - cheaper to run / service and less of a bite when it goes wrong!

Hi!

Till yesterday had Leon TopSport TDI with ESP. Now it is sold and now I've got new Toledo TDI DSG but with TSC.
Does anybody knows if it possible to upgrade this feature to ESP? As ESP on Leon saved me and itself from some nasty unexpected, uncontroled spining.

LCR has everything, EDS + TCS + EBA + ESP + ABS + a partridge in a pear tree

FR loose ESP + EBA

My LC's got it too.
Unfortunatly the lateral accelleration sensor i pooped and it turns itself off all the time coz of this.

it might be coz mines broke but ive done some right silly things in mine and its never flashed the light just stays on permanantly.
