ET35 alloys and mk2 leon

Hi,

Does anyone have 225/35 R19 ET35 alloys on mk2 leon? 2008 1.8TSI 160hp. Is ET35 too wide?

it really depends on the width of the wheel as well.

ET35 and 8.5 won't fit. Think ET44 will be max. for 8j (and ET46 or higher for 8.5) at least that is for Cupra.

Someone told me that the FR and lower allow lower ET (approx 5 mm, but I never tried)

My Cupra has ET50 BBS CH026 with 8j and 235-35-19 and I once tried and max. 4 mm of spacers will fit (before the wheels will stick out of the arches).

yeah well 8.5 ET35 will be outside of your arches. you could put a stretched tyre on them I guess are you changing those wheels?

afaik the norm is approx 8" with ET45 any more and you pushing the wheel outside the arch afaik.

18 x 8 ET35 with 225.40 18s shown below. The rears are level with the arch, the fronts are a few mm out-side the arch. I'd say you will be well out of the arches.

I tried 8.5 x 18 et35 the other day CH's too see what they looked like poked out a fair bit, looked alright but i want to lower alot so stuck with ET50

I wouldnt go lower than ET45 with 8inch wheels. Mine are that and are perfect.
