Need a new exhaust and i think why replace when you can upgrade. Its the standard item now and its murder trying to find a performance exhaust. Id rather go with a company like scorpion or the like rather than going to powerflow for a custom one if possible. what are my options. its a cordoba 2.0 16v on a 99 plate (mk1) thanks for any help at all.

Dave

You want a Supersprint exhaust. My Cordy has had one fitted to it for about 6 years now. They aren't 100% stainless steel, and mine will need replacing at some point as it corroded under the metal tag welded under the backbox, but they are top quality. The Supersprint exhausts fit spot on so they don't knock on anything etc.

I think AwesomeGTI do Supersprint too.

I've asked Awesome for price since I'm interested in prices :)

don't know much much a cordy will be, but for the trouble and strife's C220 CDI Merc coupe it was £349 for exhaust with sports cat and included VAT and fitting too.

theres a branch in Swansea, I went to the Bristol, Berkeley one (http://www.bristolexhausts.co.uk/index.php) and they were very helpful, even had a courtesy car free for the day.

This was after I'd already paid local exhaust centre £169 for centre and rear box to get my Cordy2.0 16v through the MOT. Rush job. Wish I knew before. :(

jetex do a system for the cordy 20vt that fits the 2.0 16v cordy. think it was about 320 fits great
and it looks like this.

Rightyho, i got the qoute back from longlife, they are saying for a cat back system its £299 (thats vat and fitting included). And for a sports cat its £250 if done at the same time or £299 if done seperatly. they rekon 2 - 3 hours and a courtesy car free while they make and fit it if theres one available. and since its custom they have around 50 different tailpipes and they can tailor to how you want it to sound. WOO

just have to wait till pay day now.

ive got the same problem just recently purchased my cordy 2.0-16v and found some idiot has fitted a standard ibiza system & extented the tail pipe to the bumper been looking into the jetex system myself as a direct bolt on are u pleased wiv urs whot does it sound like on idel and under load looking at ur pic do u have to cut the rear vallence aswell to get it to fit ???

Well ive had a few problems getting the funds due to some unforseen expenses. Yes id have to cut the rear valance, not the actuall bumper though just the black bit underneath. i want rid of the towbar too but theres a silly hole where theyve had to cut for it to fit. not pleased so if anyone has one they dont want hanging around, ill take it (bit of beer money your way too) hehe.

cant you import one from another counrty
or go better and get and exhaust make by dc or scorpian

I have a stainless back box from a 1.6 cordy from powerflow cost 200 but I'm considering selling it.

I had this same problem when looking for an upgraded catback for my Mk3 cordoba cupra. Problem is that because of the longer rear the ibiza ones are no good.

ended up buying one from Simons (swedish brand used a lot on volvo's etc)

its fully stainless steel and has double round tip much like the one posted in the pic couple of posts above.

I really like it, and along with my decat DP the flow is great!

its 2.5" btw
