hi guys i have my car booked into longlife this week for a full turbo back system. it will be 3'' downpipe to 2.5 but im wondering what it would sound like without the middle box. people ive spoke to have said it shouldnt be too loud without a middle due to turbo, but im just wondering if anyone else has no middle box? dont want it sounding chavy, just a nice burble and a bit of noise!

iv got a 3" downpipe to a 2.5" system without a middle box and it sounds sweet imo! Iv got a small backbox which gives off alot of pops when you lift off also. Whether your into that or not is upto you but as far as the middle box goes id definatly do without it mate!...no videos though im afraid lol!

my mate has a 1.6 hyundai coupe with straight through pipes and it sounds amazing. Everyone loves it. Can wake up neighbors if coming home late at night though!
 
i dont think it sounds chavy no because its a full turbo back system so gives off a lovely note! with mine i get alot of pops and bangs on gear changes and also if im in 5th and lift off..is mega lol! im running a 100 cell sports cat. im considering going de-cat also which will further more add to the fun lol!
 
Thats a very good price mate! I had a longlife exhaust on my old 1.4 punto and despite what people say about their quality, mine was fine! How come you didnt go for blueflame or miltek?

Im still toying with the idea of this myself ive got a cat back system nice sound but doesnt pop or havent noticed (altho dont give it the beans much and not running on a re-map yet).

Was thinking of middle box out and de-cat or just de-cat if it would make much of a difference.?

It purely depends on how u want your car to sound. Personally i love noisey turbo cars that cough,bang,pop,flame etc :lol:
the middle box out and de-cat option will be loud and give you all of the above! Like i said I'l try and get a video 2nite/2moro and post it up! give you a better idea :)

I removed the centre silencer on mine, i just have a supersprint backbox and it didnt make hardly any difference at all, almost a waste of time tbh apart from the popping and banging i get now :)

Yea i love the pop's and bangs how a car shoul sound.

I had a 1.2 mk4 ibiza before had a cat back strait through with a savage backbox on it sounded like a rally car going down the road loved it.

just got fed up of being beaten to 60 buy milk floats and the like. :cry:

will keep an eye out for the vid.
 
sounds nice you can hear the turbo spool when you first start off even from that far away aswell :funk:

think i will be removing that box very soon. :think:
