My dealer says there is currently a LOT of orders on Leons. My lead time is roughly 12 weeks and he says it definitely wont be sooner.

EDIT: just noticed you said Ibiza lol

That doesn't sound encouraging  I ordered Sunday from DTD, paid deposit Monday but have not had any contact from the supplying dealer yet. DTD did say 12 - 14 weeks though.

Going to be a long old wait by the looks of it.

Yeah its a long wait. Personally Im terrible at this, if I want something I want it NOW , especially something as big as a new car :)

Oh well, at least I have something to look forward to for some time (ordered end of Jan).

I also have my new Leon ST on order.

I placed my order on Feb 14th, and my expected delivery date is still 16th May, my dealer still says it won't come forward. Apparently they've had a much bigger reaction to the ST than anticipated so orders are taking closer to 12 weeks to fulfill.

So I'm still around 9 weeks away.

Exactly, feels like forever so I dont even want any tracking tbh. Id be even more anxious if I found out I have exactly 3 weeks left or something, I just want him to tell me "your car will be read tomorrow" whenever that is :)

You guys are patient. If I could order a new one I couldn't wait around watching ships loading/unloading. :(
Mind you you can have exactly what you want.
There were certain things I wanted on mine and fortunately the garage I went to had a few choices. The wife wanted white, I wanted 184 , done deal and drove out of showroom same day. All happy :):D:D

Having to wait wouldn't be half as bad if I liked my current car! Not so unfortunately, and that wait is going to feel all the longer I'm sure. I could have had a manual model much sooner, but DSG meant factory order. I could have cried when the dealer said 12 weeks! Glad you're enjoying yours though! ;)

I just had an update that my vehicle was Week 8 build and was shipped yesterday - due in the country on Monday.

They couldnt tell me what port it is going to but two ships left yesterday...
La Surprise
Tenerife Car

However....none are due in on monday - they are due 15/03/2014 for Tenerife Car and 16/03/2014 for La Surprise.

The pot luck game continues :)
