How long did you all have to wait for your estimated build date? Ordered a 5dr 1.6 TDI SE on 26/10 and really excited but don't want to be that person that chases all the time!

Hi Abster, I placed my order on 15th Oct and was told yesterday that I have been allocated week 48 build for my 184ps TDI FR, so thats about a 3 weeks wait for me to get a build week allocation.
On a side note, I'm gonna ask if they can build it a week later so that the electric folding mirrors come with the reverse activated kerb-view function. This feature is being reinstated on cars built from week 49 onwards.

Finally folded - after 4 1/2 weeks and no sign of a build date I've contacted Seat UK. Hope I have more joy from them than my local dealer.

Once the cars built it can go on the ship straight away or half a week, then around 8 days to get to the UK. Maybe another week to get to the dealers and a few more for them to prep it. Seat UK will definitely have more info on progress and be able to give you the ship name which you can then track.

Getting it transported rather than driven... did anyone opt for driven delivery? Preferred the idea of transported...

Anyway... can't bloody wait! Hope there's no delays.

Wow, haven't posted on there in ages. I've just ordered a Leon FR 150 (last Friday) in Nevada white and was also told approx 3 month wait. I think the issue is that Christmas is coming up and things naturally slow down due to people not being at work. Its going to be a long wait.

My new Leon will be delivered to the dealer on Monday, and there'll be 1-2 more days until financing and registrations are arranged. So, here's the timeline for a Bulgarian order (in case anyone else from Bulgaria is reading the thread):

- Ordered on September 2 (week 36)
- Built in week 40
- Shipped to Athens, Greece on October 29 (week 44)
- Arrived in Athens, Greece on November 1 (so shipping between Barcelona and Athens took 4 days)
- Shipped from Athens to Sofia, Bulgaria on November 22
- Will finally arrive on November 25.

That's 12 weeks end to end.
