When I was getting my car my dealer and his colleague was just discussing the current delays, there is too many orders, the factory already runs on 3 shifts and orders (the latest and future ones) will be delayed for more than a month and even more on some configurations.

Standard, the Dealer did not contact me at all yesterday - the usual trend of radio silence.
No car for me yet.

Week 11 build - on time! message from dealer received!

7 week since ordered and I rang up today and was told it was on a boat bobbing a long does any of you ship watches know what boat this could be ?
Just collected my Leon 1.2 SE with tech pack, rear parking sensors, space saver & monsoon paint (which now appears to be very common arrrgh) and im well happy, tech pack is brilliant cant wait to test LED headlights later tonight.
Looks like a few of the week 11 cars are getting through to the dealers already then.
I spoke to CC this morning mine is currently at Tyne Docks awaiting transport to the dealership, told me to ring back in a few days and they might know more.
Also then got an email from the dealer asking if I could pop in to sort the paperwork as they would hope to have recieved and pdi-ed etc by the end of next week.
Am hoping that once I collect I can postpone the first finance payment by a couple of weeks so that I get a month without car payments. More to spend on cleaning bits and goodies then...
One thing I am a bit confused with though, CC and the dealers have given me a Chassis Number (both are the same) but when I plugged this number into the website below it would not recognise it.

Has anybody else had this? is it too early after week 11 build for the number to be on the database? or does it look like somewhere along the line they have both been given the same incorrect number?
Not sure if I should be concerned about this or not?

The dealer called me today, and went and saw the car.
Apollo blue is far better in flesh than in photos!!
and it was under fluorescent light and not sunlight!!
The course of events is tommorow registration at the ministry and issue of numberplates...
Insurance and off we go...
