Expected Delivery?

3 months waiting for SEAT West London to tell me today that they forgot to order any of the options I specified :(

They won't let me drive the cupra they have had delivered but would give me a TDI while they re order. If they gave me the TDI as a courtesy car they wouldn't give me a discount on the re ordered cupra. I'm waiting to hear if they would offer a discount if I don't take the courtesy car. Terrible customer service, I've spoken to them many times over the last few months and it is only now that they realise :(

Wow, that's terrible. Sorry to hear that mate.

These Seat dealerships do seem to be pretty consistently bad, don't they! Hope they manage to sort it quickly for you. If it were me I'd be wanting a discount regardless of whatever else they do.

I'm gonna start praying now that mine will be perfect when I finally get to see it tomorrow... What are the chances? Lol.

Didn't you agree a price before ordering the car? The courtesy car should be irrelevant to your price you pay and be FOC as it was a balls up at their end. And possibly they should be doing something to apologise to you...?

I had agreed a price, they are now offering the same price, 3 months to re-order and then to make up for the inconvenience, 3 years free servicing. (its the free servicing OR the courtesy car!!!)

Seat have said that they cannot do anything to prioritise the build of a new order so I think I'm left with telling the dealer to do one and re-ordering with another dealship or broker4cars or someone else. Has anyone got experience of the Chesterfield dealship? that close to me now so i was thinking of trying them?

Might just go and by a BMW :(

I'm really sorry to hear that, sounds like an awful experience. What options did you specify and could you live without them? May be worth trying for an extra discount and taking the car as is?

thanks, it was :/ I specified pretty much everything and some things like ACC i really want (doing a lot of miles at the moment) so didn't feel worth the compromise. I went back to the dealer and they weren't really interested in helping, just that 3 years free servicing and another order so i decided to tell them to get lost and give me my deposit back.

Will now try Autoworld Chesterfield i think as they're close. At least going to have another test drive and remind myself of what i'll eventually get! Anyone dealt with them?

Also, are buckets seats now available to order, and do they have lumbar support?

The buckets are now available to order, they don't have lumbar support. On another thread someone said they were picking theirs up today and they had ordered buckets.

I experienced Autoworld back in 2008 when I ordered our Abarth but did not use them as a dealer turned up in Manchester before Abarth took proper orders but in the short time they seemed like good people to deal with.

I got my new toy!

All present and correct. Very pretty she is too! Steve at Listers was great, took plenty of time to talk me through the many, many different functions of the infotainment system etc, and even apologised for the appallingly long wait.

And now I can take comfort in the knowledge I never have to endure the misery of driving a Qashqai ever again!

And for anyone still wondering about the under seat storage bins, mine has one under the drivers seat, but not the passengers. Not that I'll use it, with such a huge boot to fill!

So finally, one happy new ST owner :)

Congrats, very long wait for you. Post some pictures in the Mk3 pictures thread!
