Extended Warranty?

Any of you guys got extended warranties on your motors? If so where from and how much are you paying if you don't mind me asking.

I've been looking at extended warranties recently as well. Best quote i've had is £250 for 12months from Warranty Direct.

Thats based on the fact that my cars done 49k, with a full service history and no previous accidents. I went for the franchised dealer with a limit of 30,000 miles/year.

I also got a quote from warrantyworks and they were slightly more expensive (about £280 i think)

Vw / Seat Offer Extended Warranty In 4th And 5th Years.

can you take this out at any time?

I thought it had to be before the 3 yr warranty expired..

Spoke to SEAT directly and they informed me that they are not doing Extended Warranties at the moment.

A SEAT Rep told me that they had not applied to be a member of the Financial Services Authority back in January and therefore were subsequently not allowed to issue them.

Just what i've heard, i'm not up to scratch on this FSA issue. All i know is that i've been told to look on the net at people like the AA and RAC
