Exterior door handle problem

I removed the outer door lock and handle to fit colour coded ones and when I tighten the torx screw back up tight the lock barrel is still loose and your able to pull it out ?

Anyone had this problem ?

Could the barrel be fitted upside down. Is that possible ?

You haven't lined it up correctly inside mate that's all

when you removed the barrel did you hold the door handle in the open position? im also pretty sure your not supposed to completely remove that torx screw. you may have to take the door trim + carrier off and start digging about for the circular part of the lock that actually holds the lock barrel in place ;-)

Shep when you replaced yours do they not sit flush anymore and are quite loose?

The door handle and lock sit flush to the.door , how I.did it was i pulled on the lock barrel part the slightest bit and turned the torx screw slowly until the lock came loose .

I didn't take mine out or put them in my painter did but ever since they have been a tad loose and also the handle doesn't sit flush with the lock barrel I.e the lock sits slightly deeper to bodywork and handle doesn't seem to line up with the lock? I'll try get a pic to explain.

He might not have hooked it round the return spring for the handle , before I started this thread I read a post who had the same problem as you

Here's my problem:
