Fabia vRS ARB

[Ibiza FR TDI]

I'm getting a Fabia vRS front ARB (21mm) fitted in the next week or so.

Is there anything I should think about changing at the same time as getting the ARB fitted? (other than the bushes that came with the ARB)

The car has done just over 30k.

The ARB on my 130 Sport was knackered, I got the Fabia vRS kit and all was well!

That car had done 83k!

yep makes a nice tighter change , i take it your changing the droplinks too

Just bought the ARB (from skoda dealer) along with the bushes.
Do I need new droplinks and how much am I looking at?

I plan getting it fitted at a local garage.

think you need new droplinks other wise the ARB hits something ( driveshaft????) have part nums somewhere , will look

i was charged 30 quid by jbs for both , so if you go to a dealer should be a little less id say ,

Is there much work involved fitting a fabia ARB?
How many hours labour are we talking?

i think you have to drop the front subframe to get access , so proabably about an hour and a half maybe 2 hours , youll need wheel allignment etc done again after, make sure this is done ,

I changed my links but only because I thought they were the problem. I bought the normal ones from SEAT and they fitted fine!

Also, would it be a good idea to replace the droplinks anyway when getting the ARB fitted? And if I do, should I go for the Skoda ones as a precaution?

why just change the front?doesn't this make the car under steer more?

The Ibiza droplinks were fine on mine, they're the same part across the VAG range.

Both garages I rang wanted £100. Does this seem okay?

IIRC I was quoted £75 just for the front
