Facelift model or not

Not necessarily some face lifts came with the square mirrors. its all down to the front and rear bumper and the fact they have side skirts.

also if someone smacked the mirrors its prob cheaper and easier to buy the pre face ones to swapp , who would care if your selling / not keeping long etc

Well not seen a facelift yet without the tear drop mirros anyway!

I guess the same could be said about the bumpers too? If been in a crash, cheaper to get the pre-facelift bumpers than facelift ones?

I'm sure it was 53 plate onwards which was facelift??? Or I could be wrong, could be 04 plate on? I dunno!

Nope, cupras, and all the tdis do too!

Not sure about the 1.4 & 1.6, but I'd have thought they would as well.

I think, like other parts on the Leon, it came down to which parts box Pedro dipped his hand into on the production line.

I've seen 04 plate LC's with the square "golf" mirrors but my 03 plate has the tear drop ones

FR's had silver tear drop mirrors. Its all very confussing. Lol.

not early FR's , they came colour coded later ones did to match audi with their themes ,

mines 53 plate cupra , and got teardrops

as for pedros box , its all a mistery ,


mine is missing the 12v socket from the boot & the girly makeup mirror lights above the sunvisors ,

Yeah mine too. Could do with having a 12v supply in the boot as well

the early pre-facelift were deffo better specced. auto-dimming mirror etc.

There is only 2 different sorts.

Square ones same as ones fitted to mk4 golf

Teardrop shape as fitted to later model leons.

mine has square mirrors and facelift bumpers on a 03 plate
would be nice to have a Cupra with all the extras like.

LCR210s also have the square mirrors, and they came at the same time as the facelift Cupra

Adam are they electronic folding? how do you activate that? don't seem to have that on my 52 facelift cupra! would really like that function.

The ones that do, you just turn the knob until the dot is pointing down
