Yay! If it comes as standard then all new Leon buyers will learn about how shoddily the SEAT bumpers fit!

I think not.

I think it might look like this. They might update the engines aswell (1.6 cr tdi , 2.0 cr tdi , FR TFSi 220 bhp CUPRA 265bhp) Their free to make the Ibiza FR and CUPRA 180 bhp and 200 bhp then.

I'm sure they'll update the diesels to the new common rail versions as they have to do it before 2010 and every other VAG car will have it by then - if the new golf is out!

More than likley it will be a minor facelift. I would expect it to come with the replacement 2.0ltr Turbo engine and probably the twincharger engine or something like that.

I wish they'd revise the Leon dashboard to look like the original Salsa concept:

Salsa Concept

....Come to think of it. I wouldn't complain if a refreshed MK II/new MK III Leon was the Salsa concept (even if it is 8 years old!!)

The Cupra GT might be pushing it a bit far though ;) :

Given how much that 8 year old car looks like the current Leon, I doubt it very much. Seat brang out that Tribu thingie, and the design they gave the nose of that (Straight, sharp lines rather than the current Altea/Leon's curvy apperance), found it's way to the new Ibiza.

I would expect the new nose of the Leon to look more like the new Ibiza personally. Seat's cars are growing up, and are not as bold with the styling as they once was. This is typical of VW's cars, and maybe thier more sensible styling cues are spreading wider across their brands.

The new Sirocco is another car that was great as the Iroc concept - The final road going model is nothing special to look at unfortunatly. In typical VW fasion, they toned it down and play it safe.

Back from the dead
never rule out an early facelift.

S3 has been out just under 2 years and already the 3 door version has been facelifted with new:
-lights
-mirrors with integrated indicators
-front and rear bumpers diffusers
-engine (still 2.0TFSi, but new fuelling system)
-wheels
-clocks that spool up to max and then drop as you start the car
-mesh panels in the bumpers

and more I'm sure. Made my version drop £3k immediately on release!!!
