Facelift My09? Rumours or spypics?

I think your dealers been taking something...

They're usually the last people to know the truth, and even less likely to be believed

Heard a rumour recently that there had bin mumblings about a power bumped up TDI engine - thought it was just pish, then got to thinking, they have bin makin a big deal about the oil burners they're running in the touring cars. You never know.. MORE POWER!!

Yep, slightly different shade of silver on the dash and EVERY model will come with the aero kit (because they ordered too many about 2 years ago)>

Well i would agree that in 2009 they are releasing a new up to date Leon. Whether this is a facelift version or complete overhaul i dont know. I know that it will be based on the Mk6 Golf and Audi A3

I would say if you look at Golf its about the last part of the year next year that it will be released so i reckon end of 2009, early 2010

I thought the Mk6 golf was coming out on the same platform, but being designed for quicker build than the Mk5

High production costs being the driver for the Mk5 golf only, not the leon or A3

Right lads I have it from the horses mouth (well the voices in my head) It's going to be a 4wd 3.0 v6 twin turbo diesel 400bhp 500ftlb torque with a one off aero kit with 3 exhaust.

Tis true apparently the chief designer drove a remapped Mk1 cupra TDI and said he had never ridden such a wave of torque.
