fan/AC problem help needed

some interesting comments in here, i noticed my fan/heater display flashing the other morning but couldnt remember if it always did that..

my fans are also very hit and miss, i could blow on my windows harder. they speed up and slow down randomly etc.

hi, having a similar problem to this, did u sort anything out>

fixed mine, it was the fan control relay, luckily picked one up from the scrappy for a fiver, fixed my air con and the fans. we ran a live straight to the fan and bingo they started working straight away, which showed that the relay was knackered!!

Having exactly the same problem with my climatronic....it flashes when the ignition turns on for about 5 seconds.....according to other threads on here it means the system needs regassing......got it into the other mode it has and it comes up with a spanner.........sorry i'm a bit of a newbie and a bit nervous doing stuff to this car (newest car i've owned)......Mando where is the fan control relay located and also you wouldnt happen to know the part number would you?.....I only ask as I have checked all the fuses apart from fuse number 2 in the engine bay fuse box.....an email to SEAT has them saying that it could be the fan so will try the relay first!!.........just wondering cos the scrappies down my way dont ever have the mk4 ibiza only Leon's, A3's and Golfs so thinking they may all have the same relay??...........Thank...Kieran
