Fan Issues

I know im going to get shot for not using the "search facility" but here goes....

Have major issues with the fans in my GTi. They only blow when im heavy on the throttle. If im pottering about in 5th gear and not really revving it up, she doesnt blow air at all. Quite annoying when your driving to work at 6:30am in frosty conditions!

Any ideas?

Yep. If i leave the fan on '4' and then start the car from cold, its blows full. But as soon as i set off, the fan stops....................odd?

Simple to replace? Come on guys, more help needed!
