FAO Supersprint Exhaust Owners

Hi,

i have a supersprint back box only (oval tailpipe) and was after getting a blueflame sports cat and down pipe. After reading tthrough a few threads i noticed that i have to get the centre section also. Found a website called http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ and they sell the centre section but its only a 2' pipe, then spoke to nigel at blueflame and he said it wouldnt marry up. What are my options ? Want to keep the backbox ideally as it makes a nice sound as it is and i like the look of it.

Any ideas?

Well assuming your backbox is 2.5" (i'm just guessing here) and you want to buy a 2.5" DP (also guessing here...you're not giving us much to be fair) then you would need a matching 2.5" centre section.
Seems simple enough to me...

Search for brands (ie blueflame, miltek, simons, etc)

So do you mean that i can just get any old 2.5' centre section from any other manufacturer and attach one end to the back back and then the other end to the new downpipe?

Supersprint call the 2.5" system 'race' rather than road.

Right so i have the "Street System" whoch is the slightly smaller of the two, what if i get the centre pipe from the "Race System", would that do the job of marrying up with my street backbox and the fitting to the blueflam downpipe and sports cat?

I have custom 3inch Dp into 2.5 with supersprint back box
I spoke to blueflame who also told me it would marry with supersprint.

How much did they quote you for that mate? I got a quote today for 344.25 for a sports cat and down pipe 200cell rate, but if i wanted them to make up the centre section and have the downpipe fitted to that they are wanting 495 vat included and fitted!

At the mo im trying to source the part, the 2.5' centre section but its hard to find. I just wish the previous owner had for a supersprint catback and not left me with the hassell of just the back box.

£300 all in mate for 3inch Dp then 2.5 from cat to back box.
Well worth it mate, i got it fitted down cardiff by a mate of mine Ryan aka Mr D.

I fitted PhilW's 3" decat downpipe to the 2.5" supersprint. I also have an identical setup.

We asked that blueflame reduce the 3" to a 2.5", and it is a perfect fit.

I live down in london so Cardiff is abit out of the way but thanks anyway. I understand what you are all saying about the downpipe having to go from 3' to 2.5' but unless i get a custom centre section made its going to be a pain. Does 495 sound abit pricey for the work they are going to do?

Probably be cheaper to get a turbo back system from blueflame then sell your supersprint back box.
