Spent the morning at Santa Pod RWYB, 1st at the gates, 1st in the fireup lane, did 5 runs before the air temp got too hot and ran a 13.41 sec 1/4 mile at 103.26mph. Before REVO remap it ran a 14.08 so thats a good improvement. Don't know what the 0 - 60 time was but it ran a 8.66 to 82.88mph. I guess that makes it the fastest MK5 in the country unless you know different. That didn't just happen, it took 6 months hard work and lots of money I don't have to get this far; now I just have to pay for it.:( (vid of run on Youtube, please link)

OK, lets compare times, SEAT Leon Cupra 2007 -15.1 sec; VW Scirocco R 2010 -14.7 sec; RENAULT Megane 250 Cup 2010 -14.5 sec; SUBARU Impreza 2.5 WRX STi 2009 -13.6; ASTON MARTIN V8 Vantage 2005 -13.5 sec. All figures from AUTOCAR full tests. If we go back in time to the 1995 GTi International Sprint, the fastest time was 14.01 sec, by a MK1 Golf owned by Mark Eliot and running a 2.0 16V Turbo engine rolling roaded at 247bhp. That car ran 13.4 at Santa Pod the same year. So, does that help?

I went up against a new Porsche Turbo cab which ran an 11.65 1/4 mile at 120.43mph; I lost that race! A chipped new GTR was running 11.3, only 2 seconds quicker than my car.
