Engine and traction light came on this morning, had it on vagcome and a couple popped up:

1 Fault Found:
16486 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70): Signal too Low*
** * * * * *P0102 - 35-00 - *-*
Readiness: 0000 0000

1 Fault Found:
16347 - Control Module - EEPROM Error*
** * * * * *014 - Defective

Maf sensor says low readings but it's not knackered. Still going to get another one mind. Anyone any ideas on the second one? Done a search and people mention different things. It's been cleared but will see if it comes back!

Thanks

Scott

Normally it's down to naff 'chipping' or poor remapping

Could be an incorrect checksumm, or a bad file.

I'd take it back to him

It's been running awesome the past half a year, been on rollers twice, producing great graphs etc both times.

Other sources mentioned brake switch etc

I'll forward the codes to John though and see what he says.

John rang me and said he will download the map then upload it again so the checksums carry themselves out again. Said the software does it automatically, so not the fact it's dodgy. He said if things were done incorrectly it wouldn't have been fine for 6 months.

Only thing we can think is that the maf showing a fault has brought it up? We shall see, hopefully gone soon!
