Fed up - delay seat ibiza 1.6 tdi cr

Dear all....

i ordered a seat ibiza 1.6 tdi cr back in may june, in fact it was the first one that the dealer apparently already had ordered, i was supposed to get it in july...now they are telling me sept/oct.....wat on earth is going on....i feel like pulling out of the order.....

has any1 in the UK got themselves a seat ibiza 1.6 tdi cr yet?? it friggin better be worth it

im just thinking its never going to come.....im just cant understand how they told me i'd get it in july....did they give my car to another customer? lol

Hi mate, dont know if its a lot of help but I popped down to my dealer (SEAT Bristol) to sort out a scratch and they had literally got their 1st 1.6 in yesterday so hopefully this is a good sign.

My order of the 1.9tdi was made at the end of March, they delayed this twice, then told me it will change to the 1.6cr tdi, and that I won't get this till about 10th September due to the factory closing down for August!

I reckon your's will be Sept/Oct delivery, hopefully Septif you're lucky. I agree, it'd better be worth it, not heard on here is anyone has actually got the 1.6cr version.

my original order was a 1.9tdi, and that was in the beginning of april.

got told of the news of the 1.6tdi instead, and i confirmed a week later.

went to view the car on monday, and will be collecting it on monday a bloody long 16weeks!

Sorry to hear about the bad luck with your motor. My girlfriend picked her 1.6tdi CR up yesterday after a 16 week wait. Its a fantastic drive and real quiet!

Ah, good to hear some people are getting theirs finally! So it's quite quiet then? Decent power?

Mine's a company car order, they use Seat in Preston who've not been that great in communicating - you'd think they'd try to provide a company a good service to secure future orders, but I guess they don't think like that

Have to say my dealer was'nt exactly great at communication either! Yeah its got some good power and very refined compared to the old 1.9tdi. Given its my girlfriends car i've only been able to grab the keys off her twice so far to give it a quick spin and have'nt put it on the motorway yet.

Sounds good, am just hoping they stick to the September date now and don't delay it again!
