Yep i get looooooads of smoke

yer i did see a video of urs on another forum

as far as i no black smoke is unburnt derv but u get this as u want the power so it over fuels the engine to give you maximum torq

im not seeing this at all runs as clean as it did with the dpf

only problem i hav now is its smoking like my old 306 hdi did only smokes on idel and it dont look to be black smoke so its kinda worrying

as i dident feel the car is all it could be decided to get it on the dyno

here is my dyno result :(

not impressed at all considering its supposed to be a stage 2 with dpf delete and all exhaust restrictions removed

as far as i kno u can get 200 from a standard 170pd

gave jbs a call they asked me to take the car back for it looking at wen im in the area said it was posibly a bad dyno result

the guy at scooby clinic said in both runs it made the same power

for some resson i feel i was given the stage 1 custom code ?

Mine made

235.5bhp and 340 lb.ft on JBS Rollers
201 and 360lb.ft on AwesomeGTI Rollers (found out my Downpipe was leaking badly after)

Let us know what they say mate when it goes back to their's ;)

thx ill keep u updated

think ill call them tomorow and see if its ok for me to go down to jbs

i kinda feel in the wrong and like im messing people around and yes difrent rollers produce difrent results but the power does seem down on ther quoted power and also on the majorty of the peopel on these forums

he did say that 220 is what is expected from the 170pd with dpf delete and standard exhaust as soon as i mentioned it had no back box and only made 200 the conversation changed and thats when i was told to drop in for a check

i just dont wana come across as a **** but i also would liek what i payed for :)

do i hav to specialy ask for the wild stage 2 cc map or is that what should be on now ?

says phase 2 software on the recipt

btw thx again and

p.s if ur down pipe was leaking how come this caused a 30bhp loss ? i thort that back presure wasent needed at all so in thory with it leaking should of reduced even more back preshure (but then again probably disrupted the airflow)

kilner dont let them try and fob you off, make sure they have a good look at your map, dont let them put it straight on their rollers cos it will miraculously start producing 240bhp and they will say there is nothing wrong.

As a side note, Awesome GTI are having an open day / bash on July 31st, its in their section, if you fancy going just let them know.

well went down to jbs today i w8ed in the reception for around 45mins as they had the car and had a test drive and said everything was ok said the exhaust readings looked a bit high or somthing

so i booked it in for a dyno run next thursday and he said lets get it on the rollers first and then he will sugest options with the exhaust i got a quote for a milltek r32 style for my car and it was 600 .... he said its exspensive and gave the impretion he wouldent botheRt 240

he did look at my dyno graph and said somthing like 320 torque from 200bhp isent possible and that 320 torque is around the 220bhp mark that they quote me so i hav no idea how people can get 240bhp

btw they checked the car over free of charge as i went to my car they had left the vag-com wire in i had a little think and returned it ;)

and yes graham id be up for that sounds good wonder if we could get a few of the other stage 2 pd170 people along

With a better exhaust it would be possible ish. I had the mild map on with standard exhaust and made 223bhp and 342lb/ft. Now have the wild map and full milltek and it is quicker still. I reckon it's around 230-235 based on before figures and how it drove compared to now.

Although it still doesn't feel 230bhp some times, can get caught out sometimes and have to really hammer it to keep up with other 200bhp cars.

Mine is around the same as a impreza sti (270 ish bhp) if I can get the power down. If anything it is a bit quicker on the top end side

I agree sometimes it can feel like its putting out 200 and then sometimes it feels like 240!

do you hav to ask for this wild map or somthing or is the phase 2 map the wild map i even asked if i had an uprated clutch would u put a difrent map on and he said no it would be the same one as im on now

i fail to see how they can call it custome code should be more like generic code

btw this is a pic off my back box so i doubt this is my restriction in the exhaust the only part the could mayb still be restricting the exhaust is the middle section witch is still the original exhaust but as far as i kno having a stainless of the same size wouldent make any difrence other than it wouldent rust :)

here it is

lol what is the point of a dpf delete if you struggle to keep up with 200bhp cars sometimes? id want the power all the time not just when it decides to give me it? lol

lol dont know thats why I now own a REVOd cupra and its miles different lol.

Gave up with the DE-DPF game as I thought it was a little overrated......

Had a couple of rolling roads in many different gears and all were around 203-210bhp not any where near the 230-240 bhp and that was with full milltek and WILD map.

Maybe I just had a dodgy car but I wasnt too impressed most of the time.
