For the money it's an excellent mod

Agreed too, although I did not have selection issues when I just had the shortshifter and not the DBMs.

I'm still unsure about DBM upgrade, I still get masses and masses of wheelspin/hop (and the vibration at times almost takes your teeth out)

I can only talk about my car, I spent the extra money and had the EIP replacement which is the full mount rather than just bushes. I also ensured the bolts were torqued to the correct settings and it was superb....very minor vibration on the wheel at idle and lots of other pro's (less work for TCS, less wheel hop, less nose lift under acceleration and it just felt more 'connected')

Around £80 if I recall, the biggest issue is getting one out of the US it seems that EIP's customer service is legendry (.........but not in a good way)

Westec can sometimes get them  but sometimes they struggle....maybe worth a call

I ordered one from westec on the 25th of november, emailed them today and was told that they're waiting for a shipment to arrive, should be sometime in the next 7-10 days hopefully

7-10 days and counting...

A few people I spoke to were a bit miffed when they found their EIP dogbone mount (received from the first batch) was a stock mount, rebushed and painted blue. Probably a factor of the amount of time they spent waiting.

The powerflex bushes (forge, awesome etc) are much cheaper, and do the job just as well (I would think).

If you do specifically want a complete mount, didn't Scotty)B post up about an ECS one recently (or was it HPA)? Also, you could look at VF ones, but I would imagine that they are even harsher than a rebushed stock one, or EIP/ECS.

Have a look at Forge's for an alternative. They look good and I'm sure they're in stock now :)

That's the short shifter I was talking about the Dog bone engine mount

That said I think this would be a good line for Forge.....

I had one from the first batch and I have never heard that before....mine certainly didn;t look like a refurbed OEM version.....far from it

EIP claim their bushes are not polyurethane (sp?) hence why you get less vibration etc certainly everyone I know who has had one fitted has been impressed.

I try and only comment on products I have tested and I have not tried the Poly bushes on my car although I did sit in a car with poly bushes and saw the wheel virbrating like mad...Mine with the EIP didn't

This isn't directed at you Phil but I am getting sick and tired of defending the EIP product to people who have never tried it......

The one thing that does annoy me about the EIP product is the customer support from the US which makes Westec and other distributors look shoddy....then again that's for the likes of Westec to sort out.

I have the powerflex PU bush on mine and there is definite vibration. not quite steering wheel shaking but it's there - you only really notice at tickover, once you're moving it's fine and seems to be 'wearing in' too.

I have the powerflex db bushes on my LC and I'm not impressed. My TC light is on just as often and I now have decent tyres too (toyo proxes).

The steering wheel vibrates a fair amount at idle or when getting biting point and the initial drive off but it's the almost off the chart low drone when driving off that really annoys me! I'm sure it could trigger avalanches.

I think i'll get the standard ones chucked back on if i come to sell the car incase it puts a potential buyer off.

I'll have to get you to sit in mine next time i see you mate - as I'm pretty damn sure you'll be hard pushed to feel any extra vibration at all.
Mine took a week or so to bed in, but don't notice it at all now :)

of course - i don't have more money than sense :bleh:
Joke - not meant to offend anyone

The thing is, mine is only a little 'shuddery' from cold and to be honest when it's a tractor under the bonnet, you'd be pushed to notice it's worse than standard. Will have to meet up at some point and see what the difference is. Will definitely see you somewhere in the coming months i'm sure of that :)
