First track day in LCR

Yea.. I'm learning that.. but i bought my car with the list of mods done. so I'm only learning about the car now really.. and the mods it had listed, Hard to know if they where actually done or not.. So i think thats where my lack of confidence comes from.. I'm getting bits done every few weeks.. so making it my own

Have you rebuild yours? forged rods? Mine is still standard...

Not yet forged, although I bought all my stroker kit about 3 years ago, engines for these are cheap now anyway

Id love to take our leon on track but i dont know.. I took a few Jap card on track.. the leon seems a little delicate or something.. I'd be afraid i'd break it or blow the engine or something... lol

Mines done 4-5 track days this year, from what I can tell as long as its been maintained and serviced regularly it should be reliable

From what i have been told the 1.8t is quite reliable, i am not planning to go forged untill i need more power. From my limited experiance anywhere near 280 bhp in a stipped out leon is more than enough power to have fun.
My little golf ABF running 170 bhp, has had the life kicked out of it on over 12 track days, i have changed the oil before each session and its had no issues,
Get it out there!
