Fitted Alpine HU - Doesnt Sit Flush

Fitted my alpine headunit today to my fr

Only problem is, it isnt a neat fit between the top of the tray that sits under the cd player and the cd player itself. The tray used to follow the same lines as the cd player and looked really neat. Only reason I fitted my alpine headunit was because its ipod ready

Anyone had this problem and is there anyway to solve it?

Or will I just have to put up with how it fits or go back to standard?

same unit as mine by the looks of it.. might need to shave a mm or 2 off the inside where the carrier tray slots in as it tends to fold in a bit and restrict how far you can push the unit in

hmmmm.

That would look great in my car, I need to get rid of my silver Sony unit. I do like the look of these black Alpine units. :)

As for your problem........I don't know, I don't think any aftermarket units will fit as flush as the OE unit.

£150 from car audio direct, ipod plugs directly into it (no big boxes to hide) and got full ipod control through headunit

Im thinking of reverting back to standard and using the aux in slot for my ipod

Also got everything needed to get steering wheel controls to work

Also, I stupidly left my alpine cage in my last car, so bought another off ebay and the fascia surround doesnt click in right as theres no slots on the new cage. [:@]

Cheers, did have a look on car audio security but didnt search

Got the fascia to go on although I dont think its coming off without snapping

Got the headunit so sit further out now and looks alot better. When the stereo was pushed right in you could see part of the top of the tray.

So im happy for the time being :funk:
