a bit more than that but i found it easy enough without removing parcel shelf or the quarter panels.
i gave some tips earlier to someone else in a pm.

Just remove the weather strip from the rear tail gate down to about half way.
you will then see the edge of the headliner. there are two black clips that hold the headliner on to the roof about half way from center of the roof to edge of the sides.
pull down gently on the headliner to have a look at the clips. you only need two flat screw drivers on either side of the clips, to allow the clips to be released out of the wholes.
once these have been released you can pull down the headliner enough to look at the antenna base and the nut. its a 22mm nut. I used a ring spanner to loosen mine.
now the hardest bit is the cable. it is held in place by two plastic C clips that are at the back of the roof and hidden in direct view. use a small mirror like the wife's compact mirror for her makeup to see where it is. these C clips i couldn't remove but managed to prise out the cable with a small screw driver. then pull the connection apart and then remove antenna.
put the new one in and your done.
PS. take the old one apart you'll see it is all corroded.
Hope that helps.
