Do i need to fit adjustable antiroll bar links if fitting FK konigsports on a 2001 leon cupra? one of my mates said i may need to. anyone know for sure?

i was under the impression you didnt need to change them unless you were going for pretty much full drop, awesome etc sell modified rollbars rather than adjustable ones iirc.

I fitted FK's to my MY03 Leon Cupra and needed new ARB's, due to knocking/rubbing on the driveshafts.
I have a 30mm lowering, although I think its now closer to 35, possibly a little more, due to settling in.

Its only the front that will rub, more so on the O/S rather than the N/S due to different driveshaft lengths etc.
I'd have thought it would affect ANY leon cupra unless the design changed at some point? I'd also think that it would be dependant on how stiff the suspension is - if its solid then its less likely to knock than a soft suspension setup is.

The top picture explains it best i think - the red aftermarket ARB has a higher "loop" in it so that when the wheel/driveshaft move vertically, the driveshaft doesnt hit the "loop". With a std ARB the loop is smaller and hence closer to the driveshaft.
Every suspension manufacturer advert I have seen (for the leon) says that any more than a 35/40mm drop will require either extended droplinks or new ARB's.

I see exactly what your saying, and yes, the aftermarket one clearly has a higher radius. Top pics, well done.
I contacted Rimstyle this morning who i am ordering the Konigsports from. Gary is going to speak to FK on monday. FK do sell a front ARB for this exact problem.

FK don't make a rear ARB. The place that fitted it said the front one was the same diameter as the OE item so left the rear ARB standard.
