g'day

ive just bought a front splitter that was taken off a beeza gti 99'

ive just been measuring it out and trying to fit it on my prefacelift but it doesnt seem like it will because of the shape :headhurt:

has anyone else tried fitting it and have you had any luck with it?

thanks

Arun

yeah ive read that before, that was the reason for me buying this splitter! lol

i was hoping it would fit because it would improve the look so much, i suppose i could somehow bend it on and tigerseal it in place

heat it then bend it? i would screw it on, than tigerseal, if you go over some speedbumps it would probably come off if it caught otherwise!

ive now screwed it into place using the standard bolts,
its held firmly but the splitter's longer at the sides by about an inch so sticks out into the wheel arches :(.
i dont really want to cut it with a saw because it wont look tidy, any ideas on how i could fix it and neaten it up abit?
cheers

Well the splitters on and won't be coming off :p
And it looks a hell of alot better than the old splitter

When I get time over weekend I'll cut the edges down to size and then post some pics :)

nice one mate hope all is well with your new mod

thanks mate,
when i first fitted it there was a rattling noise when the engine was running, so i decided to take the whole bumper apart and fit it properly lol
but now its all fine and dandy :cartman:

heres the pics...

i drilled holes through the metal and then used bolts to secure it in place, with abit of tigerseal to stop the rattling

after cutting down the sides:

Looks really smart mate, good job. Skirts would finish it off lovely.

Thanks man,
Just so hard to get hold of the side skirts, I want the standard black ones on the mk 2s, would try my local scrappy but they've closed to refurbish lol. And I've tried eBay, either to expensive or when people are breaking their car they've already sold them :(

I got mine off of roly, just look in the for sale section and mention you need a set. You might be lucky and find someone here is getting rid of some.

Shouldn't you be able to get the fitting kit from seat dealers? But I have heard they're expensive....

Both of your signature pics look amazing!!! ;)
