Jeeeeesus!

If I never see one of those O.E hose clips again i'll be a happy man.

Is there a special tool out there that i could have used to take them off?

My method of pulling them with pliers and levering them off with a screwdriver nearly made me resort to violence. So bloody fiddly.

Started fitting my FMIC today but the light gave out before i could finish. Another couple of hours of swearing and cutting my hands to ribbons and the jobs a good 'un.

i would suggest some decent jubilee style clips i used ones off the helicopters i work on military grade clips but you can buy some from forge,

use mole grips!!!

Pipe grips mate, work a charm. Allow you to open the clips fully with one hand while removing said pipe with the other.

i just used pliers to hold them open while pulling the hoses out

you do get a fancy tool for doing it, available from your local motor factors, around a tenner if i remember correctly.
