can anyone give me a rough idea of how much it costs to have a performance exhaust fitted (to a 8v cupra sport) cheers

It will be around the £35 mark.
Usually garages haven't got a fixed rate for fitting exhausts, so they will change you per time. So lets say they charge £50/hour, if it take them half hour to sort out, they will charge you £25. It it always good to stay in the garage and watch them do it. Just to make sure they are spending the time fitting your exhaust, and not making tea.

cool, well i took it in to 'central tyres' yesterday and it was only going to cost £15 because its a direct fit magnex, but they told me it needed welding and cutting doing because its only ever a direct fit iff its being plonked on to a full system by the same make! of course you never know this untill you've bought the product. anyhow, so its gonna cost £50 now and its being done tomorrow. better be worth it!
