Limp mode after heavy braking..?
Hi Folks,
I have a Leon FR 170 that after heavy braking goes into safe mode or limp mode or whatever you call it.
Does anyone else have a similar issue?
In context, I was driving swiftly, but not ott, when a numpty pulled out in front of me so I had to brake hard, not quite emergency brake but hard braking nevertheless. When I put my foot down to carry on driving there was no power and the glow plug light started to flash... I drove on into town, a couple of miles, and then when I started up again after probably half an hour it was fine again.
I can honestly say that this is far from safe when you expect there to be power and there isn't; that's far from 'safe'!!!
Any clues or help would be hugely appreciated. What's going on and why etc..?
