would i hav to take it to a revo dealer to get it sorted. so i need to upgrade to an induction kit to get maximum performance. i dont no anything about tha sort of thing!!

You don't need to. Just saying with the settings as they are the car can't breath enough to sustain them to the redline. Induction mods will help that.

Notice I don't have a kit, just changed the standard pipe to a bigger one.

But if you turn down the settings you'll have a less aggressive map but get back the top end. My way means I keep it aggressive and still have the top end.

Mine will easily top 130+ too, with similar mods..

What sort of psi should you get anyway from a apr'd Ibiza?

well i peak at 21 psi not sure on the APR specs. i am trying to get through to my local revo dealer and see what they say. cos i aint happy with only getting 130mph out of a car that books 134mph standard with the mods that are on mine:cry:

Timing's probably too high for a top speed run... car will be suffering from heatsoak at that point in this weather without decent cooling. ECU will be pulling back.

You push the turbo more it gets hotter, you get upto the top end and everything's lots hotter so the timing retard is more... thus less top end.

Believe it or not, the standard equipment on your car is just not good enough to keep provide hard boost low down and top speed up top. Everyone knows that Revo pushes hard low down, making it more aggressive than other maps, and std equipment can't sustain that.

If you want a high top end, ask them to reduce the timing like kev says, or the boost or both. You then get a car that drives less aggressive down bottom with more up top - like APR and Jabba etc. :D

Such is the beauty of the SPS3 - make your car drive however the hell you want it! :p

as long there is nothing wrong with my motor i aint bothered about top end really just want fast 0-100, just wondered why i had little top end, i am taking it to a revo dealer tomorrow to let him hav a butchers at the program and to give me some advice about the maf. many thanks for the response people, don't no what i would do without you!!!!!

with the mods on my sig ive JUST managed to keep with an s2000 up to just shy of 150 where it was just about ready for topping out.Was very impressed how well it got there.
Changed my mass meter today as i get bosch recon at £65 and im pleased i did as it idles and pulls smoother now.

My standard cupra with a ****ed maf would hit 135 no problem. Stg1 revo would pull to 150, stg2 and ive seen 153 on the gps a few times.

Sorry to say it hun but my standard 2001 cupra hit 145 then i backed off prob wouldn't of gone anymore though...

You want to check the timing settings and the MAF values.

Before I changed the gear ratios I went past a couple of Leon R's that were at 158mph (GPS not speedo)... they will go pretty fast!

visited dave in thetford today. he pointed out that the person who had revo'd it in scotland (not going to mention any names) didn't appear to no what he was doing and was a bit over boost happy and this causing the car to back up through heat soke. so dave (revo dealer) sorted out all the previous revo mistakes and uploaded revo stage two. now it goes alot better but not hitting silly top end speeds like 150mph. really happy with the results. all i need now is a free flow cat and induction kit[B)]

well o, guessing sumthing is up with mine eswell, had 155 out of it on the m4 on the flat first couple of weeks i had my car wid standard intercooler, and now forge front mount i cant push that speed or get near it now, must be the MAF

I think my MAF is on it's way out, with the hot weather mine just hits a brick wall after 5k rpm.

It used to tail off but nothing to the extent i'm getting now. Annoying!
