Hi Guys

Just had mynew flip key cut at my local Timpsons however it doesnt fit!! To be fair to the guy at Timpsons he didnt guarantee it'd work and he didnt charge me. Anybody have any advice as to were to try next?

local place did mine just a cobblers, as the bloke at timsons baisicly told me where to go with it (was a right di** about it), anyway just saying isnt just the big places some of the smaller places are just as good :D

my local timsons did mine and made a proper job of it too for only a Lady Godiva

spose it's down to the abilitys of the guy in question, some people just talk the talk but some people can walk the walk too [B)]

As above mate, Local lock and key place (Lichfield for me) is the best bet. I was charged £1.50 for a perfect fit. after Timpsons cut my first blade wrong, and then snapped it when adjusting it.

timpsons said they couldn't do mine...but another local place did it....altho they charged £10! but hey...it works!

i had mine done at a timsons took 2 atempts to get it perfect and again only cost a fiver, try and get the bloke to go over it again just in case there is an edge or sumink just big enough to stop it working

when you got these flip keys done were those remote keys aswell im guessin?

Yeah they are remote keys mate.

You need to transfer the immobiliser chip from your current spare key to your flip key though (carefully). Check the thread in the FAQ section for loads of into.

Thanks guys managed to get my blade cut at local motor factors and only £5. Key working on car just waiting for the stealers to get my key fob badge in (hopefully tommorow). Well worth the wait and effort.:D
