Basically it will involve buying one of these Flip Key items (EBay is popular), then prising open your original SEAT Key, and fitting the electronics into the new key (for remote locking etc).
People do it as it's more 'cool' and perhaps useful than an original key to have/use, however for some its more hastle than its worth.
