i have installed these. i brought some 6inch led strips off ebay. mine are red and i have them on a seprate switch. so when im parked up and have the doors open, i flick them on. i have 2 in the front and 2 in the back. pretty good if you have a car full too to flick them on. i have them off the battery so dont have to have the keys in the car for them to work.

What is the best way to wire these lights up so they come on when door is opened? Or even when the car is unlocked like the courtesy light. Is it possible to turn them on manually also, even when door is shut? Thanks in advance guys

i wired mine up to a permanent live, then added a switch to the centre console, that way i could have them on whenever i wanted, without the engine running. Worked well when the car was at shows. Also had alloy chequer plate cut to fit the footwells so would reflect the lights.

del 77, where abouts on the centre console did you put the switch?

i put the switch on the side of the centre console on the drivers side, under the dashboard, so it was hidden, and easy to get to while driving.

I think the easiest way might be to tap into each of the courtesy lights on the door as all the switches are in place and it will work when doors are open.....
