Hi Guys,
First of all sorry if this is a duplicate, as i have search for 007p vs Split R and found no results.
Anyways, i bought my self a Forge Split R last month, fitted it with the noise cone. (After reading posts, im thinking of setting to recirc due to loss of turbo pressure).
I am looking to get my car remapped to stage 1 then maybe to stage 2 later on in the year.
My question is, if i set my Split R to fully recirc, will it be as good as a 007P or am i better off purchasing a 007P?

Cheers,

Anthony

Not heard the Split-R but yesterday I mounted my Forge 007p backwards and it makes a much nicer louder sound with my cold air intake with the filter mounted down behind the bumper :)

HTH

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of threads on this

How do you mean you mounted the 007P backwards? Return air out the side or bottom?

Well, there is the stock positioning of the valve, and then there is only one other way you can mount is as there's only two main passages on the valve. I just flipped the valve over so now the thin vacuum tube on the top of the valve is facing towards the windscreen/firewall instead of facing upwards towards the bonnet.

ok, so you have it same way as me. The way it was designed to be used... I think it squeaks like a little mouse this way so IM gonna try and flip it vertical

i had my 007p flipped around and the little chirp did my head in, actually at first it seemed a little better (the car).....but some times im sure it stuck a few times, so when my foot was down, it went sqeeeeeek, change gear, squeeeek...lol

the 100mm metal intake pipe I fitted seems to amplify the sound of my 007. Reverse fit so the vac pipe doesn't rub on the engine cover.

i had open cone hiden behind bumper with split-r in reverse and set fully recirc and it was much louder than the one in that video, thats with a custom coded cupra
