Hi guys,

Been looking at getting a Forge DV for my K1.

Running at stage 1 at the minute.

Are there any benefits/plus points to fitting the DV?

Cheers

Yes, the forge unit is the best substitute for the standard unit you can buy and remains strong all the way through to stage 3 onwards.

A good mod then? Eliminates the risk of the OEM DV's diaphragm splitting? Plus the woosh noise lol

Yep.

I've even seen the none diaphragm revision d units cause massive boost loss.

That's not so good!

Are they easy enough to fit? I see Forge has an instruction page, but it's not the clearest lol

Sorry I don't agree have heard of a lot of problems with people using forge dv's

Best option by far would be a rev d or g oem DV

On the ko4 set up they are really easy, located at the front of the engine bay, they come with full instructions.

See other tuners claim the Forge one can leak also!

I run Rev G on my Stage2+ most of the Stage2+ cars on here run Rev D or G, The Stage3 cars i know also run OEM D or G

The only car i know of not running OEM is AKS Alex's VRS, Hes running the supersize forge

I was all for the standard units and thought they were the best compromise but I've seen loads fail, never a G though. Like anything - If you maintain the forge unit you shouldn't see any issues.

G can fail and probably will but il take the chance with it, there was nothing wrong with my D when i took it out but i was trying to eliminate it for low boost.

The way I see it - you can buy 4 standard units and keep swapping them or one forge unit and look after it for the same price.
