I recently contacted Forge Motorsport about a servicing kit for the FSiT DV they supply which has now been on my car for 12+ months.

I sent an e-mail, and within minutes on the same day got a response by e-mail from John saying:

a) He had already sent out the kit in the post
b) He had included a yellow stronger spring for my particular application

True to form, it arrives first thing this morning. I open the pack, no surprises, it's all there as discussed. Now I'm not a man with much time on his hands (or patience), but this is literally a screw cap off / clean / fit seals and plunger / spring / screw cap on job. To a non-techy like myself it was an absolute piece of pi$$. 10 minutes, job done.

So if there was no drama, why am I posting it (I hasten to add the car fired up immediately with no christmas tree light up from the dash).

So often we come on here moaning about what isn't right. Also we get a thread about DV's every other minute saying does this DV 'tishhh', and will it make me sound like a gangster etc.... This review is to prove that again, like when I had a 007P and the FMIC on my LCR, Forge products are reliable, their customer service is excellent, and to non mechanics like myself who hate picking up a spanner the only tool I actually needed to service this trick DV was a pair of the wifes tweezers (my fingers are to fat to grasp out the old O ring seals!).

When considering buying a DV, which these days is not a cheap piece of kit, its moments like these that make you realise that it was money well spent. People are obsessed by the sound when trying to decide on a BOV, but when you are modding an in or out of warranty car, they should be easy to maintain, rock solidly reliable, and of a quality standard that significantly exceeds the standards of the OE kit. Forge products do this, and this new DV is so easy to maintain that people should consider points like this as part of their purchasing criteria before buying and fitting a cheap as chips 'ships horn' to the front end of your pride and joy just because it makes the pedestrians turn and look on the local high street.

Just a big thumbs up to the folks at Forge as yet again my ownership of your products is straight forward, hassle free, and top marks for customer service too.
