Absolutely love mine. Was used to an Impreza shift when I got the Leon so was one of my first mods. It's not notchy at all and I run it as short as it will go.
i've thought about getting one for my lc, but my gearbox is a bit notchy already in the cold weather (only in 2nd and 3rd gears though, but i guess this is because they take the most abuse). Are they difficult to fit? I'd be interested in getting one for £20.

Yeah I have a Forge item fitted on the lowest setting. I got use to it before I even got out of Awesome's car park. No notchiness, felt natural and is the way the car should have come from factory imo.

if done diy where is best to drill hole? what needs to be removed or is it simply a case of about 3mm towards the central pivot on top of the box put a nut an bolt connect it up an away ya go???
best way is to mark a line from the centre of the pin, to the centre on the hole where the shifter attaches to the gearbox; then drill a hole somewhere on this line; the further from the pin, the shorter the shift. I went about 40:60 ratio along the line to give 40% throw reduction.
