I had a B&M quick shifter on my old 16v Clio and that was great but they dont seam to do one for the Leon's

The B&M shifter for the mk4 golf will fit the Leon.

Absolutely love mine. Was used to an Impreza shift when I got the Leon so was one of my first mods. It's not notchy at all and I run it as short as it will go.

i've thought about getting one for my lc, but my gearbox is a bit notchy already in the cold weather (only in 2nd and 3rd gears though, but i guess this is because they take the most abuse). Are they difficult to fit? I'd be interested in getting one for £20.

:D

Using your grey matter and a nut/bolt/washers you could make one for about £2 if that!

I had a pin made to make mine a quickshift.

The drawing is floating around this site somewhere.

Was wondering how difficult they are to fit myself and are they easily adjustable or a bit of a chew on to get right?

Plus I drive 70 miles a day bk and forth to work so would it feel a bit of a neusence?

Yeah I have a Forge item fitted on the lowest setting. I got use to it before I even got out of Awesome's car park. No notchiness, felt natural and is the way the car should have come from factory imo.

They are quite easy to fit.

You have to take out the airbox, take the old one off (which is quite stiff so will take a while) and then slide the new one on.

Job done! :)

best way is to mark a line from the centre of the pin, to the centre on the hole where the shifter attaches to the gearbox; then drill a hole somewhere on this line; the further from the pin, the shorter the shift. I went about 40:60 ratio along the line to give 40% throw reduction.
