Yes it is. In reverse the boost pressure is acting on the base of the piston rather than the side as fitted the oem way. Much better way should be like it from factory but the noise it makes isn't to everyones liking. Get an 007 mate better than split r.

ok jus put it in reverse, feels the same and makes just a lil cherp noise :p haha - bit louder but still waiting for my split r!
Now just need new vac hose for the top!! Trying to figure out where it goes tho....... its in two sections?!

I can see why people get annoyed with the split-r, after fitting mine the right way round (previous owner???) i've been fiddling with the settings no end to try and get it just right. I think it is just a case of fine tuning to individual cars and not a fundamental problem with it. It certainly sounds quite nice now in an understated way.

Sweet, yer im gona pop it on - let it all the way off anticlock wise and then what, clockwise 22 clicks wasnt it for a standard LC? Should be here 2mz!! :D
Is there a graph showing different BHP and the rough number of clicks? Be useful to know as a starting point!

For a LC I think it's about 16? and around 22 for a LCR but I would only use that as a guide and then keep driving it and adjusting one click at a time until you're happy with how it sounds/drives.

First post here! Sorry!

I have just bought a Cupra Leon 180. It came with a Bailey Valve when i bought it, obviosuly its not the favourite here, and im going to buy the Forge Spltr.

Im completely new to turbo cars let alone the 20v Turbo engines in this car (i owned an e36 M3)

what advantages will i gain from this Forge valve?

When adjusting the "clicks" what exactly is this doing?

thanks for any help :)

Split R isn't high on the list either.
Forge 007 with an open cone if you want a noise.

Hes right!!! i have not heard of many saying nice things about the spliter valve on here. just dont bother with it i had mine at 23 clicks and it brought in limp mode twice one was on a long journey!!! i was not impressed, so put my trusted 007p back on! No trouble

Lol im in Winchester ;) C'mon us locals!!! ps - its prob the easiest thing to fit to your car other than the key in the ignition :p

Got the 007p in reverse, its boosting well but that squeek - really?!!! lol!! The split r arrives today, ive heard now 16 - 23 clicks for an LC! lol!!!

Ill start at 16 and if its dumping boost ill turn it up!

Its soo easy mate!!! you can have it done it under 30 mins just taking off the one use clips are the hardest part and even thats easy!!!!

The split r is the one you adjust the 007p is a direct replacement no need to adjust

haha cheers mate, how would i know if its dumping boost

My bailey valve starts whistling very low down the Rev range, is this right?

007p on order, although is it really safe to have it in reverse, i take it that it just makes a little whistle in reverse lol.

Well Put the split r on yesterday - surely annoying everyone who was left in the office after work with constant revving and fiddling, spent about half an hr setting it up there and then - and constant tweeks on the drive home :) NO error messages, went for a spirtful country drive and motorway for about an hr so it had the complete range, and still no error code this morning :D
Feels EXACTLY the same as my 007p but has a lovely woooosh to it. It doesnt chatter at low revs like my mates does.
Fingers crossed ive got it all set up properly! hehe - but LOVING the split r!!!!!
