Does anybody have a Forge Splitter, Recirculation and BOV on there Cupra and what are benefits over a normal Recirc valve?

Also do they fit other models (i.e 180bhp, 210, 225) ???

Quote from Forge website 'you get all the noise of the blow off valve whilst retaining the compatibility with the recirculation requirements of the engine management system. As a bonus we also offer the ability to convert the valve to recirculation only mode for those times when stealth running is required.'

I have this set up on mine at 26 clicks (remapped) and works a treat.

P.S Also tried this in full recirc mode and works perfectly, but as mentioned before it seems to be a lottery.

I know it says that but I've seen loads of people with problems. Even tuners telling people to get rid.

BOV = boost leak (unless it's mapped out)
The MAF measures all air going in, if any escapes or extra is drawn in, you’ll soon start running into problems.

Exactly, the ECU takes into account the air that is recirculated through the valve. If you remove or reduce this amount of air then it MAY affect your car. The ECU has a tolerance level, if you fall out with this operating window you will get problems, if you stay in it you will be fine. No two MAFs will read exactly the same, so everyone will get slightly different figures anyway (that's why there's a tolerance level) so some folk will be able to set the valve to virtually full blow off and not fall out of the tolerance. Others will fall out of tolerance with anything other than full recirc.

These engines are designed to recirculate, if you want blow off then the best way to get it is to get a mapper who can remove recirculation.

That or buy another car lol. A 007/008 with an open cone is noisy enough :ban: I must be getting old!

Good answer, luck of the draw! I've been recommended by a chap who remapped mine to replace with standard Bosch DV or 007/8, which I will prob get round to when I get bored of the noise. Will swap from enclosed induction to open cone and 008, hopefully this will replicate it!

Ok guys after purchasing a 008 this morning, i've gone out to my car just have a look and found that it has Forge Splitter R on it already (only had the car week and half)

Now im going to still fit the 008 but am i correct in saying the 2 hoses (boost and air) will need to go on different ends of the 008 compared to the Splitter??

I believe it would be: bottom of Forge 008 on hose from hard boost pipe (after turbo). The side exhaust on the TIP and vacuum on top (off course ;) )

But I think Forge states it works in both setups
