Thanks for the update, I have mine in for its first service on Wednesday with the same problem on the nsf. I haven’t tried pulling fuse #47 yet, see how we go after this next visit.
Very useful information!

Well, it went in for its first service and they say they couldn’t hear a problem from the front near side suspension, so no fault found is written on the warranty report - I think I have a bit of a battle ahead. They have offered a joint test drive in a couple of weeks time, so maybe have more luck then. In the meantime, if I was to pull fuse #47, does the error message reset once the fuse has been replaced or is this logged permanently into memory? Thanks for the update, I have mine in for its first service on Wednesday with the same problem on the nsf. Perfect, thanks for the reply!Almost every dtc is logged and saved, but it will not stay active or current. When I put the fuse back, the error dissapears from the IC.
Could you write what PN shock absorber you installed? Or take a picture?
They installed Cupra Ateca (and many others like Tarraco, Leon, Karoq, Kodiaq, Superb, Octavia, Q2, T-Roc, Tiguan, Arteon, Passat etc.) OE Monroe DCC 3Q0413032 shock absorbers.Could you write what PN shock absorber you installed? Or take a picture?
Consumer Protection complaint, letter from lawyer, written opinion from an unbiased garage or independent service provider etc. What legal forms are you talking about?
If the suspension is knocking it cant be working properly, and if the suspension isn't working properly it cant be as safe as it should be is my opinion. it has to affect traction and braking!Thank god for this thread cause i thought i was weird or went crasy.
I've got a 2025 cupra leon 1.5tsi manual with dcc, since February 24/2025
I've got kind of the same issue.
I had the car in for detailing and when i picked it up after 4 days i started hearing a noise which i think comes from the front right.
It's not a clunk, it sounds like the wheel is hoping more than it should, it sounds more "rubbery" or "hollow" although it doesn't affect the driving, just my nerves
Also the weather got a lot hotter since i dropped it off and picked it up. I don't know if temperature has something to do with it.
Is it important to be fixed for any reason other than it is annoying?
My wife's car is VZ 310 have lowered with H&R lowering springs, and agree the knock is from the DCC shocks, disconnect fronts and is now nice and quiet. Interesting it didnt throw any dash codes. Have left disconnected and car drives nice, she will never be on a racetrack so I am happy with that, when car goes in for it regular service I will just re connect!I have very annoing clunking noise in my Formentor from day one. Dealer said this is normal working suspension noises, but I finally identified it. It is 100% coming form shock absorbers. It is very easy to identify, just disconnect the DCC plug from the shock absorbers. The car is now absolutely silent over speed bumps and uneven roads, like it should be. So the noise is coming from poorly made Monroe shock absorbers. There is a design flaw or production error in the factory because if new shocks are fitted, they clunk also. Dealers info.
My Formentor is made in 05.2023 and have Monroe shock absorbers 5WA413032K, AVQ107, E46K5001, 23W172. Same DCC shock absorbers are used in Golf 8 R and they also make that same clunk noise. But some cars do not clunk or maybe the owners just can't hear it.
To test it, turn wheels all the way to the right, push down the plug's locking lever and pull the plug down wards. I fixed the plugs with cable tie for test drive.

I have checked Monroe e-parts catalogue and they have removed DCC shock absorbers from it. They were there few weeks ago. Something is going on. So let your dealer know if you have a clunking noise.
Hello, could you please provide an update about the issue? Is the Ateca shock absorber still silent? I am curious whether the solution is persistent or came back after a while.
